With the blessings of our Parama Pujya Jagadgurus, and at the behest of numerous requests from our donors, we have 4 different schemes to support our Veda Vidyarthis – Samaradhanai, Go Pooja, Vedaparayanam and Sponsor a Vidyarti.
PLEASE NOTE: AS WE HAVE HOLIDAYS FROM OCTOBER 30 to DECEMBER 21, 2020, WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO OFFER SAMARADANAI / GO POOJA / VEDAPARAYANAM IN THIS PERIOD
What occasions can you offer the Samaradhanai or Go Pooja or Vedaparayanam scheme?
- Shraddham of pitrs/ancestors
- Birthdays of our children (janma nakshatrams)
- Days of important samskarams like Ayush homam, namakaranam, Upanayanam, vivAham, shashtyabdhapoorthi (60th birthday), bhima ratha shanti (70th birthday), shathabhishekam (80th birthday), etc.
- Specific Dwadashi pAranai occasions
- Any other special occasions you observe in your family
Some key points to note
- We will make note of the desired thithi/nakshatram and have a dedicated panchangam expert to remind you on an annual basis (as applicable).
- For Samaradhana Scheme – The food is prepared by a dedicated brahmin cook in strict adherance to the rules of the Sringeri mutt and following all rules of madi/acharam. No outside food will be offered.
- For Samaradhana Scheme – Your contribution will go towards supporting the cook, cooking assistant and groceries.
- For Go Pooja – The pooja will be lead by our Acharya and will be assisted by some of our vidyarthis
- For Goshala – Your contribution will go towards supporting the goshala, Acharya sambhavana and a part of the amount will also be put into a small savings account under the name of the vidyarthis assisting the pooja. This saving account will be accesible to the vidyarthis upon graduation.
- For Vedaparayanam – It will be conducted by our acharyas and our vidyarthis
- For Vedaparayanam – Your contribution will go towards supporting the patashala, Acharya sambhavana and a part of the amount will also be put into a small savings account under the name all the vidyarthis. This saving account will be accesible to the vidyarthis upon graduation
- The patashala is a 100 percent Charitable trust and is entirely run out of donations. Hence part of your contribution will be also be used towards the education and needs of the vidyarthis.
- Monthly prasadams will be sent to your India address.
- Regular patashala related updates and information on classes for the public through our SBT social whatsapp group.
